The Perfect Friend was inspired by unforgettable nights as a boy in the 1970’s, spent watching classic (and not-so-classic) horror movies with my mother, the late poet/artist Carol Runyan Fuchs, on an enormous Magnavox TV in our very-70s, wood-paneled den. Carol left this Earth way too soon, at the age of 56, but managed, in the 25 years I had her with me, to instill in me a love of art and schlock. The Perfect Friend is dedicated to her.
